Kids Witch Costumes

Kids witch costumes are a classic since ghosts and witches started Halloween anyway. What used to happen is that householders, in trying to appease the ghost and be in the good books of their local witches, would leave them little treats.

As such, Halloween isn’t Halloween without witches. So get a broom, a pointy black hat, add some frills, and fun to it and go make your kid happy this Halloween.

There are a number of different styles and colors for kids witch costumes. The traditional ones usually come with the pointy, wide-brimmed, tall hat, the magic flying broom and a black robe.

However, the designers have chosen to change it up a bit, and therefore the more contemporary version comes with tighter sleeves, a shorter dress and is laced by a corset.

Kids and adult witch’s costumes for Halloween are quite different, in that they make the kids version a little more playful than they do for the adults for obvious reasons. For instance, there is the candy corn kids witch costumes that come in orange, yellow and iconic white candy. They mimic the colors of the candy corn and then they add black to portray the witchy side of the costume.

They also choose to fashion some of the kids witch costumes off styles of the 60s and 70s albeit ironically the kids were not around during that era. These kids witch costumes usually come with a hat; boots and a dress with patterns that has a wide belt that matches both the boots and the hat.

You can also choose to create a kids witch costumes with polka dots or with patchwork. Any of these would work to create fun witch’s costumes for your kids.

Since you are creating costumes for kids then you can always play around with the colors; green, pink, orange, black etc, most of these are the usual Halloween colors but you can add frills and lights and other fun things to the costume so it will have a greater appeal for kids.

You can really get creative with different styles of this costume without going overboard. Witch’s costumes are great as you can create so many different variations of it, all getting the same excited response from your child when they see the end product.

There does not have to be an exact science involved with you having to stick to creating everything about the costume of just some specific characters. You can therefore choose to mix and match, and change it all up to make it funky and playful for a child.
